October 26, 2026: Baptism

Today's class will focus on the Sacrament of Baptism while also including a brief discussion on Halloween, All Saints Day, and All Souls Day. We will begin with our holiday discussion in the circle.  We will share a prayer for the dead and each family will have the opportunity to add a special prayer to our prayer jar for the souls of their friends and relatives.

Prayer Jar

The students will transition to the tables to color pages about Baptism while I discuss the rite.

These pages are part of a Sacrament collection that we will use all year.
They can be found here.

If time allows, the students will be given the craft: a Halloween bag.  (I will be bringing rice krispie treats, fruit snacks, and non-edible treats.  Please let me know if there are dietary issues that preclude your child being able to receive fruit snacks or rice krispie treats.)

They can be found here.

Students can take the bag home if there isn't enough time or if they do not finish.  Happy Halloween!
